We want a girl!
We had sent our application to the orphanage in Port au Prince, Haiti one week before the terrible earthquake. Although things are in limbo with adopting any child from Haiti at this point, we are carrying on to finish all our paperwork here in the States.
We want to be in that line when they open up the adoption process again.

Golly this ain't cheap!
We are doing all we can ourselves to defray the $16,000 our domestic adoption agencies require. By doing all our own paperwork we save thousands but are still left with a bit of a heavy bill.
Costs:
application fee Social Services $300.
Home Study $2,500.
Post Placement fee $700.
I-600 form fee $670.
Orphanage Fee $2,500
Legal Fees $460
Adoption fee $3,500
Travel to Haiti to get her....
TOTAL $10,630
We could use some help...

Michel has traveled and worked in Haiti three times in her life. While there she helped build a foundation for a medical clinic in a small village outside the town of St. Michel. In Port au Prince she has worked at Mother theresa's Home for Malnourished Babies and The Caribean View Home for children as will as the orphanage's nursery.
Presently we are hoping to return with Clowns Without Borders and restore a few smiles. the trip will be planned as soon as a good supply line of aid is freely flowing within the city.
